Plate flat flanges are the most common flanges. Insert the end of pipe into the flange. Plate flat flange and pipe are contacted by welding . Then 2 pipes are connected by fixing flate flat flanges using bolt, nuts and gaskets. Flate flat flanges are suitable for use in piping systems where the pressure rating is relatively low and pressure fluctuations, vibrations and oscillations are not severe.
